The condominium

Borgo Jacopone is situated at the crest of a hill in the Umbrian countryside. The newly built hamlet is set up as a spacious but small resort with a few owners living there year round as well. Its style is a mix between contemporary and distinct traditional flavour with lots of local character. Some of the apartments feature exterior walls in stone, and all have the usual wooden shutters. The soft yellow plaster and large open spaces make it a sunny place even throughout the winter.

The pool and sundeck area are quite large and offer a beautiful view of the rolling hills and distant mountains to the east. The large square is a great meeting place or hangout, large enough to have you own space, intimate enough to enjoy the company of other people. The parking areas are shared and do not feature exclusive places. As any real Italian hamlet there are quite a few levels to navigate with steps and staircases.

There are shared costs and a a condominium regulation for all owners and guests.

The apartment

The hamlet is divided between apartments that surround the pool and a secondary more tranquil area with a courtyard consisting of  a lawn decorated with olive trees at its center. The apartment is situated in this second part and located on the first floor, to be reached via an external staircase. The door opens into the combined living and kitchen area with very nice high ceilings made off wooden beams and bricks that continue throughout the apartment. The floors are made of cotto, the doors and window of wood. The sitting area enjoys a stunning view of the countryside to the east and in the warm season the doors open up to a french balcony. A large funky blue island with cooktop and barstools is the center piece of the kitchen. In the wall between the living and bedroom  a double faced gas hearth has been installed which definitely adds a lot of cosines to both rooms during the cold season. In the ample bedroom wooden alternating tread stairs lead up to a loft which can be used for various purposes. The frosted glass partition wall between the bedroom and bathroom is largely covered by a closet and gives the whole a nice modern touch.

Collazone is the nearest village with amenities and can easily be reached on foot (2km)....
