The building

The church was built in the 15th century.  Originally it was a little outpost of the main church in Torgiano. As time past by the location gained importance and became the principal church of the community. Centuries later all of that was lost again and eventually the church was abandoned,  desecrated and sold. The current owner started renovation work but has decided to sell the property in its current state. This gives buyers the delightful opportunity to continue the renovation according to their own ideas and needs!

The church ceiling and bell tower have been renovated and consolidated. The interior needs to be finished and has phenomenal potential for  gorgeous open space living, or for a combination of other purposes. The quite large building behind the church offers plenty of space for various apartments or other use. Part of it still needs to be constructed, part needs to be finished.

The land

Though the total amount of square meters is not that much the outdoor area certainly does not feel tight. The church sits on a promontory which slopes down  below it and gives an airy and open feel to it. A giant old oak and various olive trees enhance the authentic look.

The surroundings

Though the municipality where the property is located is Torgiano it lies actually a little closer to Perugia. Torgiano is one of the Borghi più belli d'Italia and know for its history and vineyards. Perugia has been an important city throughout the history of Umbria and is so still today. The historic center is absolutely gorgeous and as a large city the amenities are all you can ask for.
