This exclusive estate is located in the countryside of Oria, a medieval town with more than three thousand years of
history, the last rest area of the Roman Appian Way. Located just in the middle between Taranto and Brindisi, the same distance between the Ionian and the Adriatic Sea it has been always considered a strategic city.
Frederick II of Swabia built one of its castles in 1227, there is an important Basilica and one of the former Jewish community in Europe have been based in Oria. Oria is only half an hour drive from Brindisi international airport, half-hour from most of the Apulian attractions, 40’ from Lecce, the Florence of South, one hour drive from three golf courses, 20’ from sandy beaches along the Ionian Sea.

The villa is standing on a plot of land of about 24 hectares (about 60 acres) as a single plot actually cultivated as vineyards and olive grove apart from the area around the villa with plants and trees of different species. The manor house was built as the summer residence of the landlord family of Oria and it has been used by them up to the end of 1930 when they got the ownership of the medieval castle of Oria where they moved just at the end of its renovation.
During the Second World War, it has been used as US Army presidio also due to the close military airport in Manduria.

The villa is a three storey building with a C shape covering a surface of more than 3000 square meters (more than 32000 square feet) in perfect structure conditions. The interior is extremely bright with lots of windows and doors opening on terraces and balconies overlooking the surrounding land. The villa boasts the original ceilings with vaults, pavings, wall
decorations with original doors and windows of the beginning of 1900.
Even the façade is unique with elements reminding the Moorish architecture.

Apart from the main villa, there are other buildings scattered into the 24 hectares of property: horse stables, aviary, pigeon towers, storage rooms which, if you wish, can be converted as independent house units.

The villa is a unique piece for its architecture, size, position, overall conditions, and for all the pages of history written on such a small stone jewel in Puglia.
